What is Solvd?
Solvd is an AI-powered study assistant. You upload a PDF, photo, slide deck, or any study material and Solvd builds a complete study system for you in under 60 seconds — a plain-language explanation, flashcards, a quiz, an AI tutor that knows your document, and expert-level Deep Dive analysis.
Is Solvd actually free?
Yes — no credit card required, no trial period. The free plan gives you 3 study packs per day, 10 AI Tutor questions per day, and 1 Deep Dive analysis per day. You only upgrade if you want unlimited everything.
What file formats do you support?
PDF documents, PowerPoint slides (.pptx), Word documents (.docx), and images (JPG, PNG, WEBP) — including photos of handwritten notes. We handle all the parsing and cleanup automatically.
How long does it take to generate a study pack?
Most documents are ready in under 60 seconds. Longer PDFs (50+ pages) may take up to 2 minutes. You'll see a live progress indicator while Solvd reads and structures your material.

What is the Deep Dive analysis?
Deep Dive is our premium expert analysis feature. It generates 6 advanced sections: mental models (vivid analogies), Socratic questions that expose hidden assumptions, expert insights most students never learn, surprising cross-field connections, exam traps with how-to-avoid guidance, and an intuition challenge problem with solution. Free users get 1 per day. Pro users get unlimited.
What is the AI Study Plan?
The AI Study Plan lets you set your exam date and daily study hours. Solvd then builds a personalised day-by-day plan tailored to your specific study pack — with specific tasks, time estimates, intensities, and motivational tips for each day. Your progress saves automatically and you can check off tasks as you complete them.
Can I export my flashcards?
Yes. Every study pack has an Export button with three options: PDF (a fully formatted, print-ready document with explanation, flashcards, quiz, and cheat sheet), Anki Import (tab-separated text file you can import directly into Anki), and CSV (flashcards as a spreadsheet). No Pro subscription needed to export.
How accurate is the AI Tutor?
The AI Tutor answers questions grounded in the content of your specific document — it doesn't guess from the internet. It reads your actual course material and gives targeted, accurate answers. For free users: 10 questions per day. Pro users get unlimited.
Is there text-to-speech?
Yes — every explanation has a Listen button. Solvd reads the full explanation aloud using your device's built-in voice engine (completely free, no API calls). You can pause, resume, or stop anytime.
Does Solvd work on mobile?
Yes. Solvd is fully responsive on all screen sizes. You can also install it as a PWA (Progressive Web App) — tap your browser's 'Add to Home Screen' option on mobile for a native app-like experience.

What does Pro cost?
Solvd Pro is $9.99/month (or less on the annual plan). It unlocks unlimited study packs, unlimited AI Tutor questions, unlimited Deep Dives, unlimited Study Plans, priority AI processing, and full export capabilities.
Can I cancel anytime?
Absolutely. Cancel from your settings page — no questions asked, no cancellation fees. You keep Pro access until the end of your current billing period.
Is there a referral program?
Yes! Share your unique referral link with a classmate. When they sign up through your link, you both get 3 days of Pro free. Visit the Refer a Friend page to get your link.
